The Breakfast Club, Hoxton

The Breakfast Club, Hoxton

I've never really adopted the 'brunch' culture that has taken the world of foodies by storm.  I've also never gone out for breakfast, the thought of waking up super early to then drag my feet onto public transport, hungry and malnourished, has yet to appeal to me. UNTIL.. I heard about The Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is a set of 8 rustic-feeling restaurants in and around London (and Brighton). My sister had been to the London Bridge branch and couldn't commend it more, and so I thought why not wake up at 7am to get some yummy breakfast before going to university at 10am. I decided to go to the Hoxton branch, close to Liverpool Street (10-15 min walk), as it would be less crowded in comparison to the Spitalfields branch. As expected, there were only 2/3 tables occupied at 8am on a Friday morning - I've heard that there are usually queues outside The Breakfast Club restaurants. The inner decor was...

I am in Camden Town

I am in Camden Town

Camden Town (Camden) is most certainly a must-visit for anyone visiting or living in London. Although one may not think of it as an 'attraction', Camden is most certainly an extremely popular area with everything from vintage clothes to Ethiopian coffee and much more. I've always found Camden to be buzzing with people and the atmosphere is constantly alive regardless of the day or time of year. The prices at the markets are really a steal and I have found that the quality of items here are also great. Camden is one of those places, that when trying to find a gift for someone, is an almost safe bet that you will most definitely stumble across something worth purchasing. Camden is only one tube stop away from Euston making it a great location to travel to. The Camden Locks are very pretty and during the summer months, a ton of people flock to relax by the lock. Just behind the Locks...

Best Free Skyline View of London!

Best Free Skyline View of London!

I consider myself a tourist even in my own city, London. I try to regularly adventure through parks, taste new restaurants and meet new people at group meet-ups. I recently found out about the Sky Garden at the top of the (relatively) new Walkie Talkie building. The Sky Garden is free to visit with prior booking. Once inside, there isn't a time limit and we were free to purchase drinks/ snacks and to sit down and wander around for as long as we wished. We chose 3pm as our entry time to allow us an experience of both the day and night (sunset is now 4pm)! The Sky Garden was fairly busy (due to the festive time of year) but numbers were controlled due to the requirement of a previous booking. I wouldn't really call this a 'garden', there were a few pots of plants here and there, and it DEFINITELY did not feel garden-like. Never-the-less, it was a pretty location and...
