Halal Honeymoon In Santorini

Halal Honeymoon In Santorini

Santorini, one of my dream destinations of 2017 - and I was lucky enough to travel to the beautiful Santorini for my honeymoon at the end of last year. Yes, I got married *cue the wedding bells*. When we were deciding where to go for a couple of days, there was simply no contesting. Actually, we were toying between the Amalfi Coast (Positano amongst others) and Santorini. In the end, we chose to travel to Santorini for 4 night, 5 days and it really was the BEST decision I've ever made. Hotel First and foremost, we booked The Dream in Oia (Deluxe Villa with Jetted Outdoor Tub). We decided to stay in Oia as it is the picture perfect postcard destination for carved out houses in the cliffs with the typical cave houses of the villagers. For those who want to wake up to the pure white buildings with colourful roofs that are typical of Greek architecture, Oia is the place to stay! The Dream...

How To Take Good Photographs : For Beginners

As a generation, we consume much efforts to take photographs of things that attract us, to then post them online on social media sites, be it Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. I, for one, really enjoy taking photographs, and although I'm not an expert, I'd like to think that I can capture a decent image. Thing is, many people just CAN'T! For those who wish to become professional photographers, there are remote online courses or even part time college courses that one could subscribe to. A Top 10 Pebble Beach – Brighton

A Top 10 Pebble Beach – Brighton

Voted one of the Top 10 pebble beach destinations in the world, Brighton Beach is an hour away from London by Southern Rail. I happened to visit the University of Sussex (Falmer Station, 5 mins from Brighton City) and on my return, decided to walk across the pier and the coast of Brighton Beach. I had previously visited Southend-On-Sea however, I had never been to Brighton and so I was excited as soon as I figured that I would be going there. For us Londoners, the hustle and bustle of the city can sometimes get overwhelming and so it is nice to escape to the seaside at any opportunity and appreciate the peacefulness and natural air that the sea can offer. Of course, it is not possible to go to the seaside without grabbing a bag of fish and chips. I came across this restaurant as I was walking towards the Pier from the station. There are such a huge selection of...

I am in Geneva, Switzerland – Part One

I am in Geneva, Switzerland – Part One

Geneva is one of those places that are spectacularly beautiful, preserving its culture, language and style within a relatively small city - known as the 'smallest of big cities'. Geneva is one of the French speaking regions of Switzerland, and the second-largest United Nations Office of the UN. I recently visited Geneva for four days with my brother and cousin. This is my second time visiting Geneva, the last time being September 2013. I will be breaking up this trip into two parts, as I managed to squeeze a lot in such a short space of time. We were staying with some family in the lovely are of Carouge. On the first day, we took a little walk around the area and caught the bus into the city centre. The street cars are electrically powered and environmentally friendly - maybe something we could do with to reduce pollution in London (?) They do look extremely elegant and classy also! We visited Manor, a...

How to stay fit and healthy for free when travelling!

Fitness is of utmost importance for both the internal and external well-being of our bodies. Maintaining your fitness when travelling can be a challenge, escalated by the change in our routines and environment. Here are some tips as to how I have managed to maintain my fitness during times of travel, be it short- or long-term. Short-term traveller - Select routes predominated by walking instead of taking the bus/taxi/train - Visit parks and casually stroll whilst taking in the sights (maybe also plan for a small picnic) - Try to select healthy meal options (most likely be eating out for every meal) and be smart with snacking throughout the day Long-term traveller - Get accustomed to your area of residence and go for short runs in the morning - Partake in free outdoor classes (weather-permitting of course); as an example, many cities have free yoga classes held outdoors - Grab a friend, grab a ball - head to the beach for some volleyball or some swimming - Choose an apartment/...
